Thanks to advances in technology, communication and transportation have become more convenient and faster. Although it has promoted economic development, the global environment has also intensified competition. The government wants to maintain competitiveness, and high working hours have become a norm in the Hong Kong workplace. However, the government also hopes that working people will continue to study to maintain competitiveness and economic restructuring. However, time is limited. The rapid pace of life not only shortens their work and rest time but also affects their health and habits. Take the most affected white-collar workers as an example. They need to sit and work for a long time. However, studies have shown that sitting for an hour is like smoking two cigarettes. This situation is undoubtedly equivalent to chronic suicide. Also, in terms of reading habits, the e-reading model has gradually replaced physical book reading. Nevertheless, fast information browsing is like fast food culture, and it does not allow them to benefit from the traditional reading mode.

On the other hand, the Hong Kong government has been promoting reading and adding mobile borrowing trucks, sharing sessions and exhibitions. Although there are many facilities, they do not meet the reading needs of white-collar workers. Regardless of the library's opening hours and degree of book renewal, or the reading environment of the bookstore, they have not been able to meet the needs of this group of people. These circumstances have reduced their motivation to use these facilities. Besides, the mode of use of the facility is still limited to providing a seat for reading. These measures do not attract them to use. Suppose the kiosk strengthened the design, appearance and interactive elements of auxiliary facilities. Can the facility be transformed into a diversified reading station or a landmark area to stimulate their curiosity? That increases opportunities for interaction and communication and thus enhances their reading motivation?

The main feature of this facility is simplicity, small size and multi-function, which is very suitable for places with insufficient space. The primary function is to divide the area, separating the public area outside the bookstore into a reading area. It is also possible to divide different reading areas within the library management, which helps gather people with shared reading interests and increase the chances of communication. Even if office workers can’t use the library’s facilities, they can use the outdoor BOOK BOX to continue reading after borrowing books.

On the other hand, to improve the destructive effects of sedentary sitting for office workers, the facility is equipped with various institutions to reduce the physical burden and improve sitting posture. Users can put down their mobile phones, backpacks and books, stretch their bodies and enjoy reading time freely. As long as they are provided with sufficient incentives, an office worker can improve the motivation and efficiency of learning.

To transform personal reading habits into a mode that can communicate with others. The correct sitting posture function of the facility will remind you of the membership vibration chair board, and the vibration will affect the nearby people so that the other party may speak to remind you. In addition, the use of bookmarks as a medium to store and receive messages makes users prone to curiosity.
