Under the trend of globalization, economic activities have broken through geographical restrictions. Companies can distribute different types of economic activities to different parts of the world to save costs. The office workers who are affected need continuous education to maintain their market competitiveness. However, further studies require a cost. In a city with long working hours like Hong Kong, the options available include enrolling in courses and self-study in reading. The former requires more time and money. The latter has lower costs and more free time allocation. However, the reading environment in Hong Kong is not friendly to white-collar workers. The opening hours of public reading facilities do not match their off-duty hours, and the chance of using them is low. The lack of reading facilities in bookstores requires them to stand and read for a long time, failing to provide a good reading experience. The above situation has led to their lower motivation to read. To improve their reading motivation, it is not only necessary to start at the time and area level so that they can be in a comfortable reading space at any time. At the same time, we should pay attention to the health problems of their sedentary work and increase their motivation to read books at the psychological level, such as providing multiple auxiliary functions to increase their curiosity and setting up interactive media and devices. A good reading atmosphere can promote knowledge exchange to achieve the effect of self-improvement.
